Anesium John McDaniel

Anesium John McDaniel, 49, a resident of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, July 15th, 2026 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. John was born in Okemah, Oklahoma on December 10th, 1976 to Francine (Roberts) and Richard Leon McDaniel.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Francine McDaniel and Rick McDaniel, brother, Damon McDaniel paternal grandparents, D.L. McDaniel and Rosie McDaniel, and maternal grandparents, Stanley Roberts and Irene Morgan.

John was raised, and resided, in Okfuskee County throughout his life. John attended school in Weleetka, where he was an athlete, participated in FFA, and enjoyed being the class clown. John loved to be outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fishing was his life. Being on the rivers and creeks, and fishing anywhere he could. The water was Johns place of peace. John worked in the oil field as a roustabout, this is where he lost half his pinky, although he loved telling the kids he lost it picking his nose! He loved spending time on and around horses. John was funny, loved a good prank, and enjoyed being with his friends and family. He will be dearly missed by all that loved him.

Those left to cherish John's memory are his children Sydney Cook of Mounds, Oklahoma, Gage McDaniel of Weleetka, Oklahoma, and Bryar McDaniel of Okmulgee, Oklahoma; grandchildren Mahalya Cook, Diego Cook, and Maliek Cook, all of Mounds, Oklahoma. two sisters, Stacie McDaniel of Beggs, Oklahoma and Stephanie Smith and husband Sam of Stratford, Oklahoma. Aunt and Uncle, Danny and Janell Roberts of Morris, Oklahoma, nieces and nephews, Delta McDaniel of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Danielle VanHagen of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cody Smith and wife Chelsy of Asher, Oklahoma, Gus Smith and wife Anna of Ardmore, Oklahoma and Gracie Smith of Stratford, Oklahoma, Christina McDaniel and husband Santiago Perez of Sapulpa.
