Susie Ann (Watson) Deo passed away on October 2nd, 2023. She was raised in Hanna, Oklahoma, alongside her older brother Sandy, under the care of her grandmother Clara (That she loved dearly) and father Sam Watson.
As a child, Susie attended Seneca Boarding School and Graham Public Schools.
Later, she enrolled in Okmulgee Beauty School. Susie was a devoted worshiper and was baptized at Trinity Indian Baptist. She took pleasure in reading her bible and composing bible verses. Susie had a range of hobbies, including playing dominoes, listening to oldies, and crocheting. She was a movie enthusiast and particularly enjoyed viewing Twilight movies, Xanadu, Grease, and Lord of the Rings. However, her favorite pastime was watching softball games. Susie would often keep score at games and tournaments and volunteered her time to Glenpool Youth Sports.
She loved spending time with her grandkids and attending their sporting events. Susie was always the life of the party, enjoying good company, and had a cheerful disposition. She loved spending quality time with her children, often spending nights at their homes with their families. Susie also enjoyed going to the casinos and accompanying her friends to yard sales, where she could drink her Pepsi and indulge in her favorite candy, Three Musketeers. She enjoyed riding with her friends to the ceremonial grounds.
Susie was preceded in death by her late husband Bill Deo Jr, her father Sam Watson, her beloved grandmother Clara McIntosh, grandparents Jack Hill and Susie Harjo, her brothers, Thomas Watson and Buddy Lindsey, her sister, Lucy Mae (Lindsey) Tiger, and her great-grandson Adrian Lindsey and daughter in law, Cheryl Johnson Lindsey.
She is survived by her mother Amy Hill of Okemah, Oklahoma, her six children: Roberta Neeley of Ada, Oklahoma, Geebee Ratliff and husband Robert Ratliff of Glenpool, Oklahoma, Liza Lindsey of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Tumissah Lindsey of Henryetta, Oklahoma (of the home), Little Lindsey of Henryetta, Oklahoma, and Chebonnie Lindsey of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Additionally, she is survived by 22 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, five sisters, and one brother: Sandy Watson and wife Cora Watson of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Delores Watson of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Ann Lindsey of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Katherine Powell of Okemah, Oklahoma, Betty Watson of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Jaulice "Wally" Watson of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Viewing for Susie will be from 2:00 PM till 4:00 PM on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service.
A wake service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, October 6, 2023 at the Weogufkee Baptist Church in Hanna, Oklahoma.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Weogufkee Baptist Church in Hanna with Deacon Phillip Harjo and Reverend Charlie Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at the Weogufkee Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Boone Watson, Bryce" Cvto" Lindsey, Robert Ratliff, Mark Marshall, Bronson Harjo, Kyle Hill, Little Tommy Johnson III, Joseph Kahbeah, and DelMekko Ratliff. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Lindsey, Alex Doran, Tommy Johnson, Quanah Haag, Uriah Proctor, Tim Proctor and Unyque Proctor.
