Roy Thomas Ingram Jr., as Roy, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024, at the age of 70 in his hometown of Henryetta, Oklahoma. Roy was born on May 4, 1953, to Juanita (Nail) and Roy Thomas Ingram,
Roy graduated from Henryetta High School in 1970 and devoted over two decades of his life serving his country as a National Guard Reservist. His commitment to service and his sense of duty.
An avid outdoorsman, Roy cherished the over twenty years he spent living in the tranquility of the rural Braggs area. He had an undying passion for hunting, fishing, and camping, which he shared enthusiastically with his family and friends. His favorite times were those spent in the embrace of nature, where he could move at the gentle pace of the country life he loved so dearly.
Roy is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Ingram, and his parents, Juanita and Roy Ingram Sr., and brothers, Joe Nail and Jimmy Ingram.
His legacy is carried on through his family: his sons, David Ingram of Mounds, Oklahoma, Justin Ingram of Watford City, North Dakota, and James Ingram of Henryetta, Oklahoma, as well as his cherished grandson, Ryan Ingram, also of Watford City. Roy is also survived by his sister, Virgie Tamplen, with her husband Jerry of Henryetta, his sister-in-law, Helen Ingram, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were all touched by his vibrant spirit.
Roy's memories will linger in the community remembered for his caring mentorship as a Little League coach and his perpetual readiness to lend a helping hand. His infectious laughter and unwavering kindness will continue to inspire those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Roy Thomas Ingram Jr. lived a life marked by joyous adventures, meaningful contributions, and an enviable closeness with the natural world. He will be profoundly missed as he was profoundly cherished.
