Gerald Lynn Shaw, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2024, in Hanna, Oklahoma, at the age of 74. Born on October 16, 1949, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Gerald's life was characterized by dedication, tenacity, and an unwavering love for his family.
A skilled laborer, Gerald spent many years with Oklahoma Steel as a welder before channeling his expertise into his own business, Shaw Masonry, where he crafted his legacy one stone at a time.
Gerald was a member of the Deliverance Tabernacle of Belfont, Arkansas, where he deepened his faith and formed lasting bonds within the community.
An avid outdoorsman, Gerald found solace and joy in the embrace of nature. He reveled in the quietude of fishing.
His legacy will live on through his family, daughter, Tammy Lynn Bement & husband Glenn and their six children, Niki, Tiffany, Timothy Destin, Savannah, and Kyndra, son, Gerald Shaw & wife Vanetta Shaw and their three children Jordan, Devon, and Easton, daughter, Sandra Cargola & husband John and their children, Kyler, Johnathan, Raven, Hallie, Lillian, Christian, son, Jimmy Shaw and their two children, Audrey and Alivia, also 24 great-grandchildren, and one sister Brendra Hargis, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Lucille and Luther LaVern Shaw, and brother Jimmy LaVern Shaw, Gerald's spirit will be warmly remembered for the love, strength, and care he exhibited throughout his remarkable life. His memory will be forever cherished by both family and friends who had the privilege to know and love him.

The family will be holding a memorial service on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Cornerstone Foursquare Church on 617 N. Oklahoma Avenue in Okmulgee, Oklahoma with Rev. Mickey Baldwin, officiating. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.
