Ron was a Wonderful person. I enjoyed working with him for over a decade while with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Ron was Always willing to help and had a Great, kind, patient attitude when working with me; and probably everyone. I never got to meet Ron in person, but in talking to him over the telephone and corresponding through email; he was Always so friendly and welcoming, making you feel like you did know him personally. My sincere sympathy to all of his family for the tragic loss. I had recently asked him how he was doing, and he told me, he was doing very good. It is so heartbreaking to lose Ron so early in life. His untimely passing is an immense loss to all. My heart goes out to his family, close friends, and the staff at Deep Fork National Wildlife Refuge.

Ron began his USFWS career at Washita NWR, and will always hold a special place in our hearts. He continued to help out whenever asked even after he left our station, and was always just a phone call away for some assistance with purchasing or just a nice chat. I've known Ron my entire career with refuges, almost 20 years, and he always smiled and asked me how things were going with genuine regard. He always made time to generously help folks from other stations with whatever they needed. Whenever our paths crossed, I always looked forward to spending some time visiting with him. Your Fish and Wildlife Service family will miss you Ron.
