Lawrence I. "Rube" Reingold, a longtime Henryetta resident and businessman passed away Friday, December 21st, 2018 in Tulsa at the age of 89. He was born September 6th, 1929 in Shidler, Oklahoma to Harry Reingold and Sara (Kahn) Reingold. Rube moved from Shidler as a very small child and remained a resident of Henryetta until his death.
Rube grew up helping in his mother and father run the family business, The Ben Franklin Store at 5th & Main Streets in Henryetta. Rube graduated from Henryetta High School and was a proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma majoring in business and finance. He was a diehard Sooner Fan holding season tickets to OU football for many years until his health prohibited him from attending games at the Gaylord Family Stadium at OU. Even though he was unable to attend the games his loyalty as a Sooner fan never diminished. He would want everyone to know one of his favorite phrases was, "BOOMER SOONER"!
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry & Sara Reingold, also by a daughter, Elyse Reingold in 1991.
Rube was a longtime businessman in Henryetta and was a former member of the Henryetta Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife Sari of the home;
One daughter, Sharna Reingold of Tulsa;
Also by a host of friends and acquaintances.
Friends are welcome to sign the memorial book at the funeral home Wednesday and Thursday, but in accordance with the families wishes the casket will remain closed at the funeral home and funeral service.
The family requests in lieu of flowers for memorials or donations to your favorite charity in honor and memory of Rube.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 28th at Integrity Chapel with Andrea Hyatt officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
