Mrs Yates....I never called her by her first name....was such a fine lady. Growing up in Henryetta, I remember her being a sweet and loving mother of "the boys". "The boys" were certainly her sons but also the extended family of their friends. Rest in peace Mrs Yates. I'll never forget you.

Mrs Yates was my mom's Sunday school teacher at 1st Baptist Church. Mom really loved her. My mother, Jackie (Justus) Hall, passed away almost 18 years ago. I still miss her, as I know you will miss your mother. May God keep your memories of Mrs Yates vivid in your heart!

Very sad to learn of this. I was visiting Uncle Tom and Aunt Elsie Yates when Joyce and Tommy were first married. Joyce always made us feel welcome during our visits to Henryetta for all these years.
