John Wayne Tulsa

Pastor John Wayne Tulsa, a resident of Henryetta, OK was called home on Wednesday January 8th 2020 at the age of 65.
He was born October 27th 1954 to Walter and Alice Tulsa.
He worked 19 years with his dad and brother Harry at General Steel as a welder. And continued that occupation until retirement.
He was very set and strong in his faith. He was baptized February 14th 1972 by John Riley
He was also ordained as Deacon on September of 1984 by Bunny Soweka. he was ordained Pastor July8th 2008 by Franklin Harjo
John was overseer of Ryal Community Baptist Church until his illness. Even through his illness he still tried to attend services whenever he could.
John loved his morning coffee and crossword puzzles. He was deeply invested in his faith and radiated that in his day to day routine.
He wanted nothing more than for his kids to find that same faith and follow the path of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
He put that same amount of love into his children, grandchildren and family.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alice Tulsa.
He is survived by his wife Genevieve, of the home, son Keith Tulsa, daughter Kristi Tulsa; 3 granddaughters: Kaycee Tulsa, Kaly Tulsa and Aubrie Davis, Stepson Duayne Chamberlain; 3 step-grandchildren, Matt Chamberlain, Todd Chamberlain and Wesley Chamberlain; 7 Step great-grandchildren;
3 brothers, George Hill, Lewis Tulsa, Harry Tulsa and although not paternal. he did call Bonnie Soweka and Liz Jones sisters.
Called to serve as Pallbearers Matt Chamberlain, Todd Chamberlain, Wesley Chamberlain, Dewayne Chamberlain and Jeremy Wright.

A Wake will be held Sunday at 6:00PM at the Dewar Indian Community Center with Funeral Services at 2:00PM Monday January 13, 2020 at Integrity Funeral Service Chapel, Henryetta, OK.
