Geneva Mae Harris

Geneva Mae Harris, a lifelong resident of Henryetta, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 in Henryetta, OK at the age of 93. Geneva was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who gently served others for many years as a registered nurse and nurse practitioner. She was born November 5, 1926 in Henryetta, OK to Daniel Burgess & Flora (Elmore) Burgess.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Harris, sister, Maxine Thompson, sister, Wanda Burgess, and nephew, Danny Burgess.
Geneva is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Mitchell & husband Ron of Deatsville, Alabama, son, Robert Harris & wife Hollie of Henryetta, Oklahoma, grandchildren, Stephanie Cumpton & husband John of Edmond, Oklahoma, Chris Mitchell & wife Krista of Millbrook, Alabama, Amber Stricklin & husband David of Oklahoma City, Tiffany Ogg & husband Derek of Moore, Oklahoma, and John Harris of Henryetta, six great-grandchildren; Carlie Cumpton, Jackson Cumpton, Kiya Mitchell, CJ Mitchell, Graham Stricklin, and Harper Stricklin, one brother, Dan Burgess of Henryetta, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Geneva loved the Lord as she demonstrated for many years in His Church. As a teacher, helper, and wife of an elder, she dedicated her life to the God she loved so much. Her marriage to RH was a shining example of a Christian marriage that honored God in all things. Through the love and sacrifice of Christ, Geneva is sitting at the right hand of the Lord and is with her love RH. She will be missed by many.

Viewing will be from 5-7 pm on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Christ in Henryetta, Oklahoma with Dr. Ron Mitchell, officiating. Interment will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery in the Wilson community. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
