Carroll Wesson Obituary
Carroll Dewayne Wesson, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 in Henryetta, OK at the age of 80. He was born August 13, 1937 in Watsonville, CA to Amos Ray Wesson & Freda Fern (Fimple) Wesson.
Carroll had a servant's heart and loved being a help to any who needed it in the name of Jesus, usually serving behind the scenes. He was a member of the New Life Church in Henryetta.
He proudly served in the US Air Force as a flight mechanic and navigator beginning in 1954 and retiring in 1974. He won many awards during his military career, including the Distinguished Flying Cross, awarded during an incident in Laos during the Vietnam era. After retirement from the Air Force he served the Federal Aviation Administration for 12 years as a Flight Worthiness Inspector.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Freda Wesson, son, Reuben Michael "Mike" Wesson, and his sister, Coelena Hickam.
Carroll is survived by his wife, Donna Wesson of the home,
son, Ronald Wesson & wife Therese of Falcon, Colorado,
son, Randall Wesson of Falcon, Colorado,
stepson, Rob Hartle of Eufaula, Oklahoma,
step-daughter, Deb Raymo & husband Jim of Collinsville, Illinois,
stepson, Rodney Allen & wife Sandra of Montana,
step-daughter, Leslie Hubler of Henryetta,
step-daughter, Lori Tarkington & husband Rick of Okmulgee,
stepson, Luke Donathan of Henryetta,
stepson, Casey Donathan & wife Kristi of Kansas City, Missouri,
step-daughter, Nakiah Donathan of Henryetta,
two grandsons, numerous step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, who adored him,
sister, Betty Hillyer of Buena Vista, Colorado,
sister, Frances Brooks & husband Paul of Nowata,
sister, Ruby Wesson of Henryetta,
as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Integrity Funeral Service with the family present to greet friends from 6-8pm.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 am, Friday, May 11, 2018 at Integrity Chapel (410 East Trudgeon St.) with Rev. Phillip D. Tally, officiating and Rev. Diane Twist, assisting. Interment will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery in the Wilson Community. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.
Pallbearers are Jeffrey Wesson, Justin Wesson, Josh McDonald, Casey Donathon, Luke Donathon and Ivan Pedigo.
