Debra Jane Smith

With profound sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Debra Jane Smith, who left this world Sunday March 10, 2024 at the age of 63, surrounded by love in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Born on May 4, 1960, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she grew to be a remarkable woman whose vibrancy touched the lives of many.

Debi is preceded in death by her father Thomas Odell Putman Sr.

Debi was the beloved matriarch of her family, a role she embraced. She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Kimberly Frazier and husband Kiko of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Jennifer Smith, of Henryetta, Oklahoma, Stephanie Smith and significant other Delmarioyo Phillips of Crestview, Florida, Debi's love and guidance also shone brightly on her mother, Lola Charlene Putman, and her siblings: Thomas "Tommy" Putman Jr. with wife Susan of Wilson, Oklahoma, Margarett Ann Campbell of Henryetta, Oklahoma, Cecil Daniel Putman and wife Denise of Schulter, Oklahoma, Lisa Charlene Strickland with husband Doug, of Kiefer, Oklahoma, Amanda Susan Sorrels with husband Chris of Henryetta, Oklahoma, She was a cherished grandmother to Quinton, Kiko Jr., Brieanna, Brooklyn, Pearl, Jasmin, Jadin, Emily, Conley, and Brody. Debra's great-niece Judy and great-grandson Micah held special places in her heart. Her generosity of spirit extended to a host of other relatives and dear friends who felt the warmth of her presence.

An individual of great intellect and curiosity, Debi earned an Associate's Degree that became a foundation for her lifelong learning. Her professional dedication as a nursing aide was a testament to her caring nature. But beyond her nurturing career, Debi had an undeniable love for landscaping. This passion was also expressed through her active involvement in motorcycling with the BACA group, where she combined her love of the open road with her commitment to raising funds for children's charities.

Described by those who knew her best as kind, adventurous, and passionate, Debi lived a life that reflected her values and the depth of her love for her family. She maintained her home with diligence and surrounded those inside it with unwavering love and comfort.

Debra Jane Smith's life was a journey of joy, discovery, and immeasurable love-a life truly well-lived. As we bid her farewell, her indelible spirit remains a treasure in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
