Freda Loretta Clayton-Smith was born May 11, 1940 in Vivian, Oklahoma to George Washington Clayton and Chloe Bell Brison-Clayton. Freda went to be with her Lord on May 7, 2017 at the age of 76 years, 11 months, and 26 days. Freda passed peacefully with her family in Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Freda attended Hanna, Oklahoma Public Schools. She married Charles T. Smith on February 18, 1956 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Charles was active-duty in the Military and Freda accompanied him throughout his Military Career.

Freda was preceded in death by her father George Washington Clayton and her Mother Chloe Bell Brison-Clayton. Two sisters Viola Fern Clayton-Carl and Betty Lou Clayton-Whaley. Two brothers Earl Roy Clayton and Fred Franklin Clayton.

Freda is survived by her lifetime husband, Charles T. Smith. Two sons, Charles D. Smith and wife Claudette Smith of Henryetta, Oklahoma and Edward O. Smith and wife Cristie Smith of McLoud, Oklahoma. Eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, two sisters, Lorene "Jack" Clayton Gregg of Phoenix, Arizona, and Treatha Clayton-Werner of Henryetta, Oklahoma, one brother, David Dale Clayton and Wife Inez of Checotah, Oklahoma, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and multiple cousins.

Viewing will be from 4-8pm on Thursday, May 11, 2017 and from 8am-8pm on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00pm, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Pharaoh, Oklahoma. Pastor Roy Rogers will be officiating with Interment at Hanna Cemetery, Hanna, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
