David Eugene Casey

David Eugene Casey, a resident of Henryetta, passed from this life on Thursday, April 5, 2018 in Henryetta at the age of 53. David was born on July 2, 1964 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Vernon Ray Casey and Sherry Janiece Briner Casey.

David grew up in the Eufaula and Tecumseh, Oklahoma areas and attended public school in both of those towns. He lived briefly in Kernville, California before returning to Oklahoma. David had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. He was an accomplished mechanic and auto trader, having worked for several different mechanic shops and auto body shops during his adult life. Above all, David was a beloved family man. He loved spending time with his family, especially his many nieces and nephews. David earned two nicknames in his life and was lovingly known by his family as "Crash" and "Space Monkey". David was a loving son, brother, and uncle and he will be missed by his many friends and family. He will be remembered by his family as having made it easier for them, especially his nieces and nephews.

David is preceded in death by his mother and father; and his brother, Tommy Casey.

He is survived by his two brothers, Sam Casey and wife Michelle of Las Vegas, NV and Harris Casey of Shawnee; by several nieces and nephews including Tommy Casey of Henryetta, Anthony Casey, Joshua Casey and Chassidy Casey, Jessie and Destiny Haney, Carla and William Ingram, Sammi Casey, Tommy Casey, Nina Kay and Andy Casey; as well as other extended family and many good friends.

Following cremation, a Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at New Life Church, 1231 E. 10th Street, Shawnee, OK 74801 with Brother John Bradley officiating.
